Thomas McQuaid
Hello! I’m Thomas, I’m an audio engineer, music producer and educator based in London, UK. I do everything from recording, mixing and mastering, live sound, and audio post-production.
Alongside my freelance work, I’m also currently at the University of West London, lecturing across our BA (Hons) Music Technology, and BA (Hons) Recording, Mixing and Production degrees. I’ve also run guest lectures on our MA Record Production, and BA (Hons) Music Management courses.
I previously worked as an assistant engineer at an immersive audio mixing studio based at Tileyard. I’ve also worked for clients such as Marshall Amplification, TALENTBANQ, Caffé Nero, TYX Studios, among many others.
I’m currently interested in spatial audio, ambisonics, audio networking, modular synthesis, photography, coffee, digital de-cluttering, field recordings, 3D printing, complexity in recording studios and probably more nerdy rabbit holes I’ve fallen down.
